Don has been drawing and creating beautiful portraits most
of his life. Upon retirement in 2016, he set up his easel once
again and discovered his joy in drawing and painting.
Although he has spent much time working in oils, his
favorite mediums are pencil, charcoal and soft pastel.

Are you interested in commissioning a painting?

All finished works will measure approximately 10 x 15 in
size. Size may very slightly according to the layout of the
portrait and your original photograph.

All paintings are $200.00 plus shipping
Framed and matted $275.00 plus shipping
There is no obligation to purchase when finished. Don can

What makes a good photograph for drawing?

Painting a portrait of your loved one that has life and feeling will often depend
on the photograph that you submit. It's often best to give the artist several
photos to chose from so they can pick the one that speaks to them.

Some things to consider when picking photos:
Well lighted subjects
Portraits are nice but your loved one doing an activity that they enjoy is more
interesting
Look at the angles. If you are looking down on the subject the finished portrait
may not be as good.
